Some Cool Realtors

Believe it or not, I am not the only Tacoma Real Estate Agent! I hear all the time that real estate agents are famously competitive. As a profession we have a reputation for competing for the best properties, the best buyers, and of course, we are supposed to Always Be Closing. In the past year more than 2,518 houses and condos have sold in Tacoma. Here is my confession: I am just TOO LAZY to sell all of those myself.

The truth is, especially in a difficult market like the one we are in now, you have to be friends with other agents. Other agents might know someone who is thinking about maybe selling a condo in the building your buyer wants to buy in. The more agents you know the more stories you hear and talking about your profession with the best is a great way to get better.

Let’s be clear, if you’re looking to buy a house or condo in downtown Tacoma or the surrounding neighborhoods- I think I’m amazing. Fantastic. One of the very best for sure. But I also know I can’t sell 2,518 houses in a year and still make time to sing karaoke and watch Daniel Craig movies with my cats- so here are a few other Pierce County and Tacoma real estate agents who I love and trust:

Matt & Tom Hume

Tacomans: I am a big fan of Sharon Benson (Coldwell Banker Bain) and Matt & Tom Hume (Windermere Professional Partners). They work hard for their sellers, do a good job with their advertising, and best of all they answer their phones. I’d trust my own mother’s house with these guys. They know the market and they know what it takes to sell a house in Tacoma.

Margo Willis

Military Clients: Margo Willis (Crescent Realty) is a great Realtor. She’s smart, she’s kind, and she works really really hard. Margo is a retired US Army First Sergeant so you know she’s not scared of anything and will be a great negotiator. She’s also the National President of the Women’s Council of Realtors which is a great honor.

Larry & I back in the day.

Ashford & Eatonville Real Estate: When you live in the sticks, any Realtor will list your house. The great thing about agents like Paul Nerge and Larry Bergstrom is that they LOVE the sticks, they live there and they specialize in those properties. Larry is my old boss from when I worked at Crescent Realty and Paul is practically an institution in Ashford. If you have a place you want to sell in East Pierce County and you want someone who knows that market like the back of their hands, call these guys.

Rhonda Gray

Puyallup/South Hill Real Estate: I love me some Rhonda Gray (Alliance Real Estate). She is a super cool lady. We often bunk together when we have to travel for Realtor conferences and seminars and I have seen first hand how HARD she works for her clients.

Jimi Couture

Lakewood/University Place Real Estate: University Place is so lucky to have Jimi Couture (Windermere Professional Partners). She’s more than just a nice lady with a fancy name. She really knows her business. She is one of those people that just has a calming effect. Considering how much things cost in University Place and the amount of negotiating that often goes in to buying and selling houses there, a calming effect is worth it’s weight in gold!

Bobby Brown

Short Sales/Spanaway Real Estate: Bobby Brown (Crescent Realty) actually WAS my Realtor once. And let me tell you, as a client, I am HIGH MAINTENANCE. This guy is a straight talking, house selling, completely unflappable individual. He’s persnickity with his paperwork and absolutely nothing gets by him.

I kind of had to stop myself from letting this list get out of control with this list. Needless to say, I know lots more great Tacoma Real Estate agents and Real Estate agents in Pierce County. The agents that are still working today are SURVIVORS and for the most part are some of the most hard working resilient people you ever will meet. If you need a referral to an agent somewhere besides Tacoma, I know lots and lots of smart competent agents. Feel free to contact me and let me know where you are in the country and what kind of person you are looking for and I will help you find someone good!

Believe it or not, I am not the only Tacoma Real Estate Agent!
Sharon Benson is actually one of my Realtor BFF’s. She’s super involved in the community, including the Pierce County Planning Commission, Stadium Business District, and the Pierce County Aids Foundation. She puts her heart and soul into her work. What’s not to love about that?
