Did you know that when you buy a house or condo the bank will send out an appraiser to verify that the house you’re purchasing is worth what you’re paying for it? Not to be confused with market value (what the buyers in the marketplace are willing to pay) or the assessed value (what Pierce County thinks the property is worth and taxes you on) appraisers have to follow a very specific formula to come up with the appraised value.
